The Brief
Tinney Marine Insulation needed a wordmark that spoke to what they actually do (insulate vessels) without illustrating it literally, and one built to survive embroidery on workwear as its primary application.
The Approach
The idea came from the product itself: insulation layers. The N's in the wordmark angle into overlapping panels, reading as stacked layers wrapped around the company name, simple enough to read cleanly at embroidery scale.
The Result
A wordmark that carries the idea of the product in its construction, and stitches cleanly onto a uniform.
